The Göreme Open Air Museum is a must-see when you're in Cappadocia. It's one of the most popular tourist attractions in the region, and for good reason.

The museum was founded in 1963 as a way to preserve the area's rock-cut architecture, which dates back to the fourth century BCE. The museum houses more than 100 churches and chapels carved out of volcanic rock by early Christians.

At the entrance, you'll find an information center and gift shop where you can buy tickets for the museum (about 10 TL per person). Once inside, you'll be able to explore these incredible cave churches on your own or with a guided tour guide who will provide information about each church's history and architecture—it's worth hiring one if you don't speak Turkish or English! You can also take advantage of the audio guides available at many churches or rent an audio guide as part of your ticket purchase .

There are two entrances: one at the top floor of town near the Meryem Ana Church and another closer to town near the Virgin Mary Church.

If you're looking to explore the natural beauty and archaeological wonders of Cappadocia, the Göreme Open Air Museum is a must-see.

The museum was established in 1963 to preserve the natural and architectural landscape of the region. It's also a great place to see some of the best examples of Byzantine art in Turkey. The site has been designated as a World Heritage Site by UNESCO, and it's easy to see why: it's a stunning collection of churches, chapels, rock-cut dwellings and other structures carved out of volcanic rock formations.

The most popular attractions at Göreme are the frescoes painted on the outside walls of churches and chapels. The frescoes depict scenes from ancient history and Biblical events. Some may be familiar: Adam and Eve eating from the Tree of Knowledge; Jonah being swallowed by a whale; Jesus healing a leper; Adam being cast out from Paradise; Abraham offering his son Issac as a sacrifice according to God's commandment; Moses receiving tablets inscribed with the Ten Commandments from God on Mount Sinai; David slaying Goliath with his slingshot; Samson pulling down pillars at Gaza's Temple; Noah building an ark after receiving warning that all

The Göreme National Park (or Göreme Open Air Museum) is one of the most famous tourist attractions in Turkey and is located in Cappadocia, which is about 60 km away from Nevşehir, the capital of Cappadocia.

It was first established in 1958 by a group of artists that wanted to create an art colony. They were inspired by other places such as Taos, New Mexico and Montmartre in France, where artists had been living and working together for many years.

Today, there are more than 200 caves in this area that have been decorated with frescoes and murals depicting biblical scenes or everyday life. Many artists have come here over the years to work on these murals, giving them a unique character compared with other sites around the world.
